Abstract
By the method of biotest (germination of radish seeds and initial growth of organs of its seedlings) phytotoxicity was studied of hydrogen sulphide and sulphurous gas--rather distributed industrial pollutants of the air. The negative effect is established of these gases on germination of seeds, growth and development of seedling organs, activity of catalase and other functions. Hydrogen sulphide has a larger phytotoxicity. The previous treatment of seeds by solutions of manganese increases noticeably resistance of plants against industrial gases.
