Abstract
The Office of Drinking Water (ODW), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has prepared Health Advisories for 52 chemicals which have been detected in drinking water. Health Advisories are non-regulatory guidance which provide information on health effects, analytical methodology and treatment technology that would be useful in dealing with contamination of drinking water. Health Advisories also describe concentrations of contaminants in drinking water at which adverse effects would not be expected to occur. Health Advisories have been prepared for each of these chemicals.
