Abstract
This document has been prepared in seven sections, organized in a manner to facilitate analysis of the various facets of the environmental review process. The initial section includes a broad overview of the industry intended to familiarize the audience with the processes, trends, impacts and applicable pollution regulations commonly encountered in the phosphate fertilizer industry. Succeeding sections provide a comprehensive identification and analysis of potential environmental impacts, pollution control technologies available to meet Federal standards, and other controllable impacts. The document concludes with three sections: available alternatives, a listing of Federal regulations (other than pollution control) which may apply to the new source applicant, and a comprehensive listing of references for further reading.
