Abstract |
This analysis is submitted in support of the effluent limitations guidelines and standards for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. The report analyzes the cost effectiveness of six regulatory options organized into four regulatory groupings. This document compares the total annualized cost incurred for each of the regulatory options within each grouping to the corresponding effectiveness of that option in reducing the discharge of pollutants. The effectiveness measure used is pounds of pollutant removed weighted by an estimate of the relative toxicity of the pollutant. |
