Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the fate of priority toxic pollutants in publicly owned treatment works (POTW). Influent, effluent, and sludge samples were collected at 50 POTWs and analyzed for conventional selected nonconventional, and priority toxic pollutants. Volume I cotains a discussion of how the sampling episodes were conducted, presents the charateristics of each POTW, summarizes the analytical results and presents the results of preliminary evluations of the data.
