Abstract
A computer program, WASTOX, is described as a technique for modeling the fate of toxic chemicals discharged into natural water systems. WASTOX is a batch-oriented program that solves the mass balance equations to define fate of toxic chemicals in aquatic environments. The report documents the exposure concentration component of the program, which analyzes the time-variable or steady-state, physical-chemical behavior of chemicals. The model is generally applicable to all types of water bodies.
