Abstract
The purpose of this document is to present a summary of the April 2008 workshop and the recommendations emanating from the workshop discussions. This document is not intended to be a commitment to actually implement the recommendations but rather it will serve as a tool to consider and prioritize near- and long-term actions for EPA and others to undertake. To the extent that these recommendations can be incorporated into routine monitoring networks, they will help expedite research, better inform future reviews of the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), and, ultimately, reduce air pollutant exposures that are associated with adverse health and welfare effects.
