Abstract
On February 3, 1984, Mr. William Ruckelshaus, then EPA Administrator, established the Pretreatment Implementation Review Task Force (PIRT), to provide the Agency with recommendations on the day-to-day problems faced by POTWs, States and industry in implementing the Agency's pretreatment program. PIRT was composed of 17 representatives of POTWs, States, industry, environmental groups and EPA Regions.
