This Environmental Impact Statement presents information to the public to assist in the decisionmaking process; it highlights the environmentally sensitive areas in the City of Los Angeles and its metropolitan region; it defines the role that wastewater treatment alternatives play in changing the existing environment of these areas; it evaluates the potential for water reclamation and conservation; evaluates and recommends a list of feasible alternatives ranked according to their environmental impacts, either positive or negative; and suggests mitigative measures that will allow maintenance of water quality.
