| Abstract |
The purpose of this report is to establish a foundation of knowledge to help understand the environmental impacts of selected leisure activities. EPA intends to stimulate dialogue and generate interest in the environmental issues surrounding these activities. The report starts by describing what is meant by tourism and recreation, followed by brief descriptions of potential environmental impacts, then a description of the methodology developed to represent some of the environmental impacts, and finally a presentation of some preliminary findings using this methodology. |
