| Abstract | The final rule for the land Disposal Restrictions of F001-F005 Spent Solvent Wastes establishes technology-based treatment standards representative of Best Demonstrated Available Technology (BDAT). The technical support for these treatment standards is provided in this background document. The BDAT Background Document for F001-F005 Spent Solvents consists of three volumes. The first volume contains Section 1 through 4. Section 1 summarizes the legal background and general approach to the development of BDAT, Section 2 characterizes the principal industries that generate wastes subject to this rule, Section 3 presents waste characterization data for F001-F005 spent solvents, and Section 4 discusses the technologies found to be demonstrated for treatment of F001-F005 spent solvents. |
