Abstract
A method for determining analytes using liquid/liquid extraction, in finished drinking water, drinking water during intermediate stages of treatment, and raw source water is described. The method is used for analysis of trihalomethanes or for all chlorination disinfection by-products with the chlorinated organic solvents. The method used for qualitative confirmation of identified analyte is gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. A summary of the experimental protocol is also described.
