Abstract |
An infrared analyzer employing gas cell correlation techniques and thermoelectrically cooled photodetectors has been designed and constructed to measure the concentrations of methane, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide in automotive exhausts. A wide dynamic detection range is made possible by employing two different sample cell lengths for each gas. The concentrations of the three gases are measured simultaneously and independently. Discrimination against other gases in the automotive exhaust is very good. (Modified author abstract) |
