Abstract
The Selected Office of Water Methods and Guidance CD-ROM includes recently developed and frequently requested analytical methods and related guidance, including methods for the detection of trace metals, microbiological contaminants, and organics in wastewater and drinking water, chemical and biological methods for biosolids, guidance documents on Office of Water's (OW) revised approach to method approval, whole affluent toxicity testing, and oil and grease analysis. This video demonstrates the 'clean' field sampling techniques described in EPA draft method 1669: Sampling Ambient Water for Determination of Metals at EPA Water Quality Criteria Levels. Method 1669 was designed to support the implementation of water quality monitoring and permitting programs administered under the Clean Water Act. The video provides viewers with instruction on the collection of both ambient and effluent samples for total recoverable and dissolved metals. The video will be used for training purposes at meeting, conferences, and workshops.
