Abstract
The Effluent Guidelines Division recommends that the following pretreatment requirements be established for existing point sources discharging into publicly owned treatment works for oil and grease. The need for pretreatment of any industrial waste is related to the ability of a publicly owned treatment works to remove pollutant parameters in the waste. The report discusses the analysis, constituents, removal and processes.
