Abstract |
The manual gives guidelines for the establishment and maintenance of an integrated data quality program for EPA's Industrial Environmental Research Laboratory--Research Triangle Park (IERL-RTP). Administrative systems dedicated to the data quality program are delineated. These systems include quality policies and objectives, organizational structure and key quality personnel, and a schedule for implementation. Components of both quality control programs and quality assurance programs are given. IERL-RTP projects are divided into six categories. Projects within a given category have common characteristics (e.g., size, duration, objectives, and data quality requirements), making them amenable to the same general set of quality control and quality assurance practices and procedures. Quality control and quality assurance procedures applicable to each of the six categories are given for each phase of the project's life cycle. |
