Abstract
This summary document presents the major findings and recommendations of the initial '208' water quality management plan for the 3,300 square mile urbanizing portion of the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas region. The complete three-volume annual plan identifies a 1977 Sewerage Improvements Program; assesses the degree to which the adopted 1990 regional sewerage plan recommendations and the State and National effluent quality goals are being implemented; assesses the economic, social and environmental impacts of the program; and summarizes the public participation activities during 1976-77. While this initial plan focuses on point sources, the 1978 Annual Plan under preparation will address all sources of water pollution, with particular attention to nonpoint sources.
