Abstract

This report serves as an update to EPAs original 1993 report on natural sources. Building on the AR4 and other recent efforts, this report summarizes the latest research and provides global estimates of current and future emissions of CH4 from natural sources, including emissions from newly identified sources. It also provides global estimates of current and future emissions for nitrous oxide (N2O), another important greenhouse gas, from natural sources.
