Abstract | The project investigated the use of various catalytic media to control nitrogen oxide emissions from motor vehicles. Laboratory tests of various compounds were conducted. The compounds tested included rare earth oxides, platinum, palladium, copper dichromate, and modified monels. The modified Monel compounds were found most effective in reducing nitrogen oxides. The ammonia formulation of all these catalysts was also measured and was frequently found significant. (Author) |
