Abstract | The project is unique in that nitrogen is the focus of the lake management program; whereas phosphorus is the focus in all the other Clean Lake Programs. In addition, this program is unique in that it deals with the impact of the micro-nutrient iron in the aquatic environment. By controlling iron, nuisance blue-green algal blooms may be brought under control. Morses Pond in Wellesley, Massachusetts was given three different treatments to remove the iron and control the algae. |
