Abstract
The report was on a study of the effects of a man-made dam on the migration of Thymallus arcticus, the Arctic grayling. It also kept records of water quality in two streams, which were tributaries of the Chatanika River, Faith Creek and McManus Creek. Growth of these fish was not significantly less nor larger than those found further downstream. Bottom fauna in these two areas was significantly reduced during minor and major flooding, in fact were completely washed away. Populations made recovery however. The only significant or outstanding data relative to the water chemistry was the high nitrate-nitrogen rate. (Author)
