Abstract
The purpose of the report is to describe various methodologies for selecting and prioritizing substances of concern within an air toxics program. The report is aimed at helping State and local agencies in selecting substances for review and choosing an existing system or creating a system to prioritize substances. Information on the pollutant selection methodologies described was provided by several State and local agencies as well as by EPA. The prioritization methodologies presented were developed by State and local agencies, EPA, and other Federal agencies.
