Abstract
The general objectives of the study are to assess the probable effects that the proposed project will have on water quality in streams and reservoirs of portions of Montrose and San Miguel Counties in southwestern Colorado; to ascertain the benefits resulting from changes in water quality; to assess the suitability of the water for proposed water uses; and to examine the need for regulation of streamflow for the purpose of water quality control. The report includes the results of a study of general public health aspects and insect vector control of the project. A preliminary evaluation of the insect vector problems that may be associated with the project is presented.
