Abstract
This report was prepared by Eastern Research Group, Inc., a contractor for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as a general record of discussion during the ROE Expert Panel Meeting on Wetlands Condition, held January 22, 2008, in Washington, DC. This report captures the main points and highlights of the meeting. It is not a complete record of all details discussed, nor does it embellish, interpret, or expand on matters that were incomplete or unclear. Statements represent the views of meeting participants. In January 2008, Eastern Research Group (ERG), an EPA contractor, convened a panel of nine experts to advise EPA on how it could improve its ability to answer the wetland condition question in the future. These experts brought a wide range of expertise in working with various types of wetlands, and they reflected a diverse array of academic, public sector, and private sector experience.
