Abstract
The review presents and evaluates the available material on the metabolism and toxicology of molybdenum with emphasis on those aspects of relevance to human beings. Agricultural and environmental aspects of molybdenum are less completely covered. Special efforts have been made to include recent publications in Russian, and to coordinate this work with a similar effort under way in the Environmental Health Criteria Programme of the World Health Organization.
