Abstract
The report, prepared in cooperation with the water pollution control agencies of Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, sets forth a water pollution control program for the Lake Superior Drainage Basin. The program, which is based on data available as of January 1, 1954, was developed after a thorough consideration of the existing and potential uses of the water resources in the basin; the pollution entering the streams and lakes, and the resulting damages; the benefits which may result from pollution prevention and abatement; and the prevention measures now in effect as well as those which are needed.
