Abstract
This document provides scientific support and rationale for the hazard identification and dose-response information pertaining to chronic oral exposure to chlorine dioxide and chlorite. This report examines studies conducted between 1994 and 1997 of human and animal health risks posed by chlorine dioxide and chlorite in drinking water. The appendix contains external peer reviewers' comments.
