Abstract | The person has had allergy problems for much of the time during the last two months. The symptoms have been watery eyes, runny nose and periods of intense sneezing. He has a history of allergy problems dating back about 8 years. The present problems may not be related to chemical exposure at all but there are some indications that exposure to materials in the DCPD acrylate studies may have contributed to the problem. For the record he has been working with BF3, heptanes, acrylic acid, dicyclopentadiene, hydroquinone and methyl ether hydroquinone as well as the product DCPD acrylate. He has had moderate exposure to lab quantities of these materials. It seems that the intense sneezing accompanies exposure to mild quantities of the DCPD acrylate vapors. |
