Abstract

The results of an emission inventory for the state of North Dakota are presented. The inventory was concerned with the following pollutants: particulates, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides. The annual emission levels for each of these pollutants were established for each of the 53 counties in North Dakota, and for the four principal metropolitan areas: Bismark/Mandan, Fargo/West Fargo, Grand Forks, and Minot. In addition totals for each pollutant are presented for the two Air Quality Control Regions in North Dakota.
