Abstract
The report to the Environmental Protection Agency deals with continued research on the feasibility of using satellite-based instruments to study air pollution. Included are: A chapter on regional atmospheric turbidity variations from the ATS-III Satellite carries further the preliminary work; Detection of aerosols by near infrared scattering examines the possibility of using scattered sunlight in the near infrared spectral region to detect the presence of dust in the atmosphere; A chaper on Sun Glint as an atmospheric probe undertakes analysis of several possible experiments.
