Abstract
This report is not simply a collection of papers or abstracts of papers presented at the Eleventh International Conference on Water Pollution Research held in Cape Town, South Africa on March 29 - April 2, 1982, but it is an analysis of formal and informal developments including pertinent remarks, comments and ideas brought out in discussions of papers and with researchers from throughout the world. Included in this report are reviews of the Poster Sessions and interpretive analyses of informal developments at the Conference which were judged to be relevant to water quality control activities in the United States.
