Abstract
The Course Handbook is part of a model State training program which addresses the training needs of medical waste incinerator (MWI) operators. Included are generic incinerator and air pollution control equipment design features, combustion control relationships, and operating and maintenance procedures which are designed to be consistent with the purposes of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The training program is not designed to replace the specific, on-the-job training programs which are crucial to proper operation and maintenance of medical waste incinerators.
