Abstract |
The report presents a profile of the medical incinerator (MWI) source category. The purpose of this profile is to characterize the source category for use in subsequent environmental and economic analyses. This is one in a series of reports used as background information in developing air emission standards and guidelines for new and existing MWI's. Definitions of medical waste and MWI's are presented, and the industry structure associated with MWI's is described. |
