Abstract
This paper discusses how EPA generally applies the statutory safety standard to acute dietary risk assessments as to pesticide residues in foods. Based in part on the comments received, this science policy paper has been revised and is now being issued in its revised format. This revised document explains OPP's policy and details some of the various concerns that have been raised, additional associated public health-related issues, as well as OPP's plans for further evaluation and implementation.
