Abstract
This document, produced by EPA and the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA), presents case studies of seventeen Public Water Systems (PWSs) which have incorporated source water management and protection programs into their planning. These studies emphasize four aspects of source water protection: partnerships, watershed assessment, watershed land use management, and land acquisition. All these efforts highlight the importance of cross-program coordination in local watershed management initiatives. Appendix B lists source water information sources available on the Internet.
