Abstract
Ethyl bromide has been used for surgical anesthesia but this use vas discontinued because of serious and delayed after-effects. Exposure to 6500 ppm for five minutes produced vertigo, headache and mild eye irritation. Breathing high vapor concentrations may cause anesthesia, lung irritation and serious injury to liver and kidneys.
