Abstract
This decision document presents the selected remedial action for Operable Unit I (OU I) at the Eastland Woolen Mill Superfund Site in Corinna, Maine (the Site). The remedy was chosen in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980, as amended (CERCLA), 42 USC section mark 9601 et seq., and, to the extent practicable, the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP), 40 CFR Part 300 et seq., as amended. The Director of the Office of Site Remediation and Restoration (OSRR) has been delegated the authority to approve this Record of Decision (ROD). This decision is based on the Administrative Record, which has been developed in accordance with Section 113(k) of CERCLA, and which is available for review at the Stewart Public Library, Corinna, Maine, and at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) EPA New England, OSRR Records Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The Administrative Record Index identifies each of the items comprising the Administrative Record upon which the selection of the remedial action is based. The State of Maine concurs with the selected remedy.
