| Abstract |
This report highlights EPA programs and activities that are most relevant to the basic tenets of sustainable development. Many past and present Agency programs have utilitized the tenets of sustainable development, but the Agency has not employed the concept explicitly as an overall policy framework objective. With this report, the Agency describes its current efforts and commitments with Congress, other government agencies, and the public on the best ways to define and understand sustainable development and to incorporate in tenets into EPA operations. |
