The Tools and Technologies Subcommittee of the Local Government Advisory Committee was created to ways in which current and emerging technologies could be better utilized to maximize technologies and to maximize environmental decisionmaking and outcomes. Optimizing environmental decisions is important because environmental expenditures are a significant and increasing part of budgets at all levels of government. The public needs assurances that taxpayer dollars used to protect the environment are being spent in the most cost effective and beneficial manner.
