Abstract
The book compiles a selected bibliography of literature with annotations specifically directed toward nitrogen and phosphorus and the ramifications of these and closely associated elements in the aquatic environment. Freshwater investigations have received preferential treatment but marine investigaions and research have been considered as such may relate or furnish clues to the solution of problems in freshwater. This book was compiled for the engineer and the scientist who are faced with predicting limnological changes resulting from nutirent loadings to standing bodies of water, with recognizing critical concentration values for algal development, and with predicting the effects of fertilizers on aquatic life.
