Abstract |
The report discusses the difficulties of analyzing cascade impactor data to obtain particle penetrations according to size. It considers several methods of analysis (interpolation, least-squares fitting, and spline fitting) and weighs their merits. It also discusses the use of transforming functions prior to data fitting. It recommends the use of the normal transformation and spline fitting method, and provides computer programs to facilitate its use. |
