| Abstract |
This report presents estimates of trends in nationwide air pollutant emissions for the six major pollutants: particulates, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and lead. Estimates are presented for each year from 1940 through 1983. Emission estimates are broken down according to major classifications of air pollution sources. A short analysis of trends is given, along with a discussion of methods used to develop the data. |
