Abstract |
A study of the Electrical and Electronic Components Industrial Point Source Category was undertaken to establish discharge limitations guidelines and standards. The industry was subcategorized into 21 segments based on product type. Several treatment and control technologies applicable to the reduction of pollutants generated by the manudacture of semiconductors and electronic crystals were evaluated, and the costs of these technologies were estimated. Pollutant concentrations achievable through the implementation of these technologies were based on industry data and transfer of technology assessments from industries with similar waste characteristics. |
