Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the need for storage for municipal and industrial water supply and quality control along the Champlain Canal and Lake Champlain, and to determine the effects of the existing canal and proposed improvements upon the quality of these water bodies. The study area includes a ten mile strip on either side of the two waterways and is located in northeast New York and western Vermont. The report covers a study period to year 2020, as requested by the Corps of Engineers.
