Abstract
EPA's Office of Water CD-ROM includes over 350 drinking water and wastewater methods that test for 776 analytes and several key guidance documents. The Office of Water CD-ROM includes the full text of all wastewater methods approved at 40 CFR 136 and all drinking water methods approved at 40 CFR 141, including the 500, 600 and 1600 series methods. Additionally, this CD-ROM contains a complete version of the March 1983 revision of Methods for Chemical Analysis of Water and Waste (MCAWW) and guidance documents related to EPA's wastewater and drinking water programs. Never before has such a comprehensive collection of wastewater and drinking water methods and guidance been available from one source. Each document is complete including all tables, diagrams, figures, and flowcharts; the CD-ROM allows you to cut and paste text and tables to develop laboratory standard operating procedures. This valuable reference tool will eliminate the inconvenience of bulky hardcopy materials that clutter up your office or laboratory. The CD-ROM includes a powerful text search engine to allow searches by method number, analyte name, and keywords. Further, all methods and guidance are linked allowing you to electronically jump from the Table of Contents to documents of interest or search the Analyte List for a regulated pollutant and instantaneously jump to the recommeded methods. All analytical methods, guidance documents, and graphics have been converted to Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format to facilitate efficient text searches.
