Abstract
The decision document presents the selected action for Operable Unit 3 (OU 3) at the Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE), Bangor in Silverdale, Washington. No action, with groundwater monitoring of the shallow aquifer at Site 25. Semiannual groundwater monitoring of the shallow aquifer is necessary to determine whether conditions in the groundwater reflect naturally occurring trends. A 5-year review is necessary to evaluate the need for continued groundwater monitoring at Site 25 and residential construction restrictions at Site 16/24.
