Abstract
A description of the Missouri River Basin is provided. For purposes of reporting the physiographic characteristics, the Basin is divided into six parts and each is discussed in depth. Included is a discussion of the sources of pollution in the Missouri River Basin, water use, and the adequacy of water for the indicated use. The need for abatement of pollution in the Basin is emphasized, followed by a discussion of specific policy problems.
