| Abstract |
This decision document presents the selected remedial action for the Roto-Finish Site in Portage Michigan. The major components of the selected remedy include: natural attenuation to restore the contaminated aquifer to the lower of either Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) or Michigan Act 451 Part 201 Generic Residential Drinking Water Criteria; Institutional controls to limit groundwater use until the aquifer is restored to cleanup levels; and monitoring programs to track the progress and the effectiveness of natural attenuation, and to identify any changes in land and groundwater use, and any changes in groundwater conditions. |
