Abstract
The High Plains States Groundwater Demonstration Program implemented demonstration recharge projects and associated studies to evaluate and advance groundwater recharge technology. The Bureau of Reclamation worked together with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), other Federal agencies, the Western States, water management organizations, consultants, contractors, and interest groups to carry out the provisions of the High Plains States Groundwater Demonstration Program Act of 1983. This part is a compilation of individual summary reports for each of the 14 demonstration recharge projects sponsored by the program. Project summary reports are based on more detailed full project reports that were prepared by the project sponsors upon completion of the demonstration project activities. Consequently, these summary reports provide a little more information than the project synopsis pages in Part I; however, further information on specific projects is referred to in the full project reports and reference materials cited.
