Abstract
An economic analysis of the industries affected by the Polyether Polyols National Emissions Standards from Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) was completed in support of this proposed standard. Manufacture of polyether polyols is a precursor to the production of various plastics, most notably polyurethanes. The facilities in this industry must control various hazarous air pollutant emissions by the level of control required in the standard. Control costs as a percentage of sales revenues were computed to estimate the economic impact of the regulation to the affected facilities and companies owning these facilities.
